KSE rises after four sessions in red

Kuwait-Mubasher: The price index of Kuwait Stock Exchange (KSE) levelled up 0.15% or 8.12 points to end Tuesday’s session at 5,322.62 points. The bourse rose after four declining sessions in a row.

KSE’s weighted index grew 0.40% to reach 356.08 points. Similarly, Kuwait-15 index gained 0.60% to close at 829.83 points.

Liquidity declined 26% to KWD 8.86 million, while trading volume increased by 13.7% to 137.4 million shares.

The telecom sector topped the gainers by 1.49%, while the technology sector led the decliners by 1%.

Ajwan Gulf was the top winner by an 8.33% growth to close at 32.5 fils, after 1.2 million shares were exchanged.

Alargan headed the losers by falling 6.3% or 10 fils to reach 150 fils, after about 162,000 shares were traded.

Hits Telecom was the most active stock on which 40.4 million shares were traded at a value of KWD 1.5 million. The stock rose by 7.14% to 37.5 fils.
