KSE’s benchmark index opens in red

Kuwait-Mubasher: The price index of Kuwait Stock Exchange (KSE) edged down 0.03% or 1.44 points to settle at 5,200.42 points at 10 am Kuwait time on Tuesday.  The KSX 15 index fell by 0.17% or 1.4 points to 835.2 points.

Meanwhile, the weighted index rose by 0.1% or 0.34 to 356.12 points.

KSE’s liquidity amounted to KWD 3.55 million, as 51.7 million shares were exchanged through 970 transactions.

Al Safat Energy and Yiaco topped the winners by a growth 7.14%, while Al Deera led the losers by a 7.14% decrease.

Al Safat Energy was the most active as 9.9 million shares were traded through 101 shares, with a value of about KWD 146,080.

Boubyan Bank recorded the highest turnover, standing at nearly KWD 807,700, after 2.08 million shares were traded through 33 transactions.
