Kuwait – Mubasher: The price index of Kuwait stock Exchange (KSE) levelled up 0.08% or 4.61 points to close at 5,512.99 points on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices retreated by 0.31% and 0.60% respectively.
KSE’s liquidity shrank by 11.2% to KWD 7.76 million, as trading volume decreased by 37.7% to 70.2 million shares.
The banks sector led five decliners by 0.59%, dragged by NBK which lost 1.67%, followed by Burgan and CBK which fell by 1.5% and 1.43% respectively.
The technology sector topped six gainers by 1.11%, backed by Automated Systems which rose by 4%.
Specialities Group Holding topped the winners by 7.14%.
Ithmaar Bank was the most active stock on which 9.8 million shares were exchanged through 142 transactions at a value of nearly KWD 362,500. The stock dropped 1.35%.
Americana stock recorded the highest liquidity that reached KWD 1.25 million after 13 deals were traded via nearly 502,250 shares. The stock closed at KWD 2.480.
