Kuwait – Mubasher: The indices of Kuwait Stock Exchange (KSE) ended Thursday’s session with a mixed performance, for the third session in a row.
KSE’s price index fell by 0.24% or 13.27 points to close at 5,499.7 points, while both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices gained 0.17% and 0.2% respectively.
Liquidity shrank by 36.3% to KWD 4.94 million, while trading volume decreased by 32.4% to 47.47 million shares.
The technology sector headed seven decliners by a fall of 4.26%, dragged by Osos which lost 9.09% to be the top loser.
The consumer goods sector topped four gainers by a rise of 1.5%, followed by the banks sector which gained 0.45% on the back of NBK which was up 1.7%.
Ithmaar Bank was the most active stock on which 6.93 million shares were exchanged through 78 transactions, with a value of about KWD 252,500. The stock gained 1.37%.
Americana stock recorded the highest liquidity that stood at nearly KWD 852,320 after about 344,900 shares were traded through 17 transactions. The stock fell by 0.81%.
