Kuwait – Mubasher: The benchmark index of Kuwait Stock Exchange (KSE) started Thursday’s session with a mixed performance.
The price index edged down 0.05% or 2.59 points to reach 5,471.03 points by 9:30am Kuwait time, Kuwait-15 also inched down 0.05%, while the weighted index gained 0.06%.
KSE’s turnover reached KWD 1.4 million, as 6.4 million shares were traded through 195 transactions.
The telecom sector topped five gainers by a rise of 0.61% in line with the 3.8% growth of Ooredoo stock which ranked the second winner.
Meanwhile, the real estate sector led four decliners by 0.4%, dragged by Marakez and Awj which lost 8.93% and 5.9% respectively.
Bayan was the most active stock on which 1.5 million shares were exchanged at a value of nearly KWD 48,400.
NBK recorded the highest liquidity that reached approximately KWD 692,200 after 1.2 million shares were traded.
