Kuwait-Mubasher: The benchmark index of Kuwait Stock Exchange (KSE) started Thursday’s session falling by 0.12% or 6.41 points to reach 5,368.37 points by 11 am Kuwait time.
The weighted index gained 0.07%, while Kuwait-15 index retreated by 0.12%.
KSE’s liquidity reached KWD 2 million, as trading volume posted 18.5 million shares traded through 578 transactions.
The basic materials sector led five decliners by 0.494%, dragged by Boubyan Petrochemical which lost 2%; the telecom sector topped four gainers by 1.26%
Kuwait Cable Vision was the top winner by 11.11%, while Gulf Franchising Holding headed the losers by 7.94%.
Zima Holding was the most active stock on which 12.7 million shares were exchanged at a value of about KWD 614,100. The stock levelled down 3%.
Americana’s stock recorded the highest trading value that stood at around KWD 966,780 after 393,000 shares were traded. The stock settled at KWD 2.64.
