KSE’s price index rises amid low liquidity

Kuwait-Mubasher: The benchmark index of Kuwait’s stock market grew 0.2% or 11 points to close at 5,624.68 points on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, the weighted index retreated 0.54% or 2.1 points to 380.41 points, while Kuwiat-15 index fell by 0.8% or 7.3 points to settle at 900.16 points.

Today’s turnover dropped 16.3% to KWD 8.6 million as trading volume decreased 11.2% to 96.19 million shares which were traded through 2,512 transactions.

The oil and gas sector topped the gainers by adding 1.87%, while the health care sector lost 1.06% to lead the decliners.

Kuwait Building Materials Manufacturing was the top winner by a growth of 19.05%, while Manazel led the losers after ending 9.62% down.

Manazl was the most active stock as 32.5 million shares were traded through 396 deals, with a value of about KWD 812.5.

Mezzan gained KWD 1.25 million, recording the highest turnover, after 35 transactions were executed on 1.09 million shares. The stock rose by 1.72%.
