KSE’s weekly performance hits positive note

Kuwait-Mubasher: The price index of Kuwait Stock Exchange (KSE) gained 0.66% or 33.73 points to settle at 5,174.69 points by the end of this four-session week as compared to 5,140.96 points a week ago.

The weighted index leveled up by 1.87% or 6.54 points to close the week ended 24 February at 356.37 points, compared to 349.83 points in the previous week.

KSX 15 index grew 1.86% or 15.3 points to 838.19 points from 822.89 points.

During the week, liquidity increased marginally to KWD 44.76 million as compared to KWD 44.72 million a week ago, while trading volume decreased to 539.57 million shares from 617.89 million.

The market saw around 11,720 transactions, 23.9% down from about 15,400.

KSE’s market cap gained KWD 441 million to stand at KWD 24.425 billion this week from KWD 23.984 billion in the previous week, a growth of 1.84%.
