Kuwait-Mubasher: The price index of Kuwait Stock Exchange (KSE) retreated 0.09% or 4.9 points to settle at 5,615.12 points by the end of the week ended 31 December as compared to 5,619.98 points in the previous week.
Also, Kuwait-15 index fell 0.23% or 2.1 points to close at 900.43 as compared to 902.52 points a week ago.
The weighted index dropped 0.19% or 0.72 points to reach 381.7 points from 380.98 points in the past week.
Meanwhile, turnover reached KWD 51.01 million from KWD 35.41 million, as trading volume increased to 607.57 million shares from 347.89 million.
Transactions soared 33.6% to about 13,260 this week from 9,920 a week ago.
KSE’s market cap gained KWD 50 million to reach KWD 26.16 billion, compared to KWD 26.11 billion in the previous week, a rise of 0.19%.
By the end of the 249th session, market cap decreased by 11.9% to KWD 26.16 billion as compared to KWD 29.71 billion by the end of 2014, losses worth KWD 3.55 billion on a yearly basis.
