Kuwait – Mubasher: Kuwait Stock Exchange (KSE) was down 0.57% or 31.3 points to reach 5,419.68 points by the end of August as compared to 5,450.98 points by the end of July.
The weighted index retreated 0.96% or 3.38 points to 347.34 points by the end of this month as compared to 350.73 points in the previous month.
Kuwait-15 index ended August at 801.83 points, 1.09% or 8.83 points down from 810.66 points a month ago.
The market’s turnover grew 15.3% to KWD 151.68 million in a month, as trading volume increased 7.5% to 1.43 billion shares in August.
KSE’s market cap lost KWD 242 million ($800.4 million) during August to reach KWD 24.01 billion ($79.41 billion) as compared to KWD 24.252 billion ($80.21 billion) in July.
