Kuwait – Mubasher: The benchmark index of Kuwait Stock Exchange (KSE) retreated by 0.79% or 43 points to reach 5,428.91 points by the week ended 25 August as compared to 5,471.88 points in the previous week.
The weighted and Kuwait-15 indices went down 0.80% and 0.89% respectively.
KSE’s trading value shrank 11.6% to KWD 32.18 million this week from KWD 36.42 million a week ago, while trading volume decreased 25.8% to 251.34 million shares from 338.57 million.
The market cap lost 0.8% or KWD 194 million ($640.26 million) over the week to reach KWD 24.08 billion ($79.74 billion) from KWD 24.274 billion ($80.11 billion), according to latest data issued by research company.
