KSE starts Thursday in red zone

Kuwait – Mubasher: The price index of Kuwait Stock Exchange (KSE) went down 0.28% or 15.09 points to reach 5,339.73 points by 9:30am Kuwait time on Thursday.

Both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices lost 0.19% and 0.31% respectively.

Turnover reached KWD 3.2 million, as 14.12 million shares were traded through 420 transactions.

The real estate sector led six sectors with 0.7%, dragged by Awj which lost 8.8%.

The banks sector retreated 0.62% after Burgan Bank went down 1.54%.

Meanwhile, the telecom and consumer services sectors gained 0.64% and 0.19% respectively.

Awj was the top loser with a fall of 8.8%, while Ooredoo topped the winners with 3.8%.

Al Mal was the most active stock on which 2.13 million shares were exchanged, while Americana recorded liquidity of about KWD 1,900.
