KSE starts session in red zone

Kuwait-Mubasher: The indices of Kuwait Stock Exchange (KSE) started Wednesday’s trading session in red, with the benchmark falling 0.22% or 11.5 points to settle at 5,232.26 points at 10 am Kuwait time.

The weighted index retreated 0.2% or 0.72 points to reach 359.86 points. Similarly, KSX 15 index dropped 0.3% or 2.5 points to 848.46 points.

Liquidity reached KWD 3.71 million as 36 million shares were exchanged through 922 transactions.

Wethaq topped the winners by a 6.94% growth, while Gulf Franchising Holding led the losers by a decline of 9.43%.

Al Safat Energy was the most active as 4.65 million shares were traded, and the stock rose 4.35%.

KIPCO recorded the highest turnover, generating more than KWD 1.1 million, while the stock levelled down 1.89%.
