KSE starts week with positive performance

Kuwait-Mubasher: The price index of Kuwait Stock Exchange (KSE) gained 0.21% or 10.80 points to settle at 5,151.76 points at 9:30 am Kuwait time in Sunday’s trading session.

The weighted index rose by 0.57% or 2.01 points to reach 351.84 points. Also, KSX 15 index levelled up 0.55% or 4.49 points to approach 827.38 points.

The KSE’s performance is expected to improve during the week, backed by positive corporate results, said portfolio director Abdullah Al-Mansouri.

He added that the market’s volatility is projected to end by April after the announcement of Q1 financials and KSE’s launching of the company that will operate the market.  .

The market’s liquidity amounted to KWD 1.58 million, as trading volume reached 29.07 million shares which were traded through 555 transactions.

The telecom sector topped the gainers by adding 1.29%, while the consumer goods sector led the decliners with a 0.56% decrease.

Ooredoo was the top winner by a rise of 9.43%, while Al Safat Real Estate headed the losers by a decline of 6.49%.
