KSE suffers losses in Wednesday’s mid-session

Kuwait – Mubasher: The indices of Kuwait Stock Exchange (KSE) suffered losses by 10:50am Kuwait time on Wednesday.

The benchmark index lost 0.77% or 41.94 points to reach 5,427.39 points.

The weighted index edged down 0.8% or 3.10 points to 357.23 points, and Kuwait-15 index retreated by 0.9% or 8.3 points to reach 838.29 points.

KSE’s downward trend on Wednesday came in line with the falling oil prices and the retreat of Japanese markets after early results of the American elections indicated that Donalnd Trump would win.

KSE’s trading value amounted to KWD 15 million after 121.61 million shares were traded through 2,801 transactions.

The real estate sector led the decliners with 1.1%, followed by the banks and financial services segments which lost 1% and 0.6% respectively.

The consumer goods sector was the only gainer.

Inovest was the top winner with 5.6%, while HEISCO led the losers with a fall of 6.5%.
