Kuwait- Mubasher: The KuwaitStock Exchange (KSE) witnessed a negative performance this week, after the collective losses onits three indices.
The price index shed0.8%, or 43.42 points, closing at 5364.57 points from 5407.99 points last week.
The weighted and Kuwait-15 indices also declined during the week by 0.78% and 0.82%, respectively.
KSE’strading volume dropped 6.3% to 483.09 million shares, compared to 515.48 million shares last week.
Liquidity levels also slumped 23.6% to KWD 52.93 million, down from KWD 69.31 million in the previous week.
Market capitalisation shrank 0.78%, losing KWD 191 million, week-on-week to KWD 24.293 from KWD 24.484 million.
The UK’s referendum, which resulted in a leave votefrom the European Union (EU) on Friday affected the global stock markets and contributed directly to the losses of the GCC and especially the Kuwaiti bourse.
