Kayan expects SAR 96m impact from plant maintenance

Riyadh-Mubasher: Saudi Kayan expected a SAR 96 million financial impact from the rescheduled maintenance its plants, which will be reflected on Q1-2106 and Q2-2016 financial results, the company said in a bourse statement.

The petrochemical producer has moved up plans for maintenance work at a number of its plants to 1 March 2016.

The maintenance had been previously scheduled to start in April.

Production will be halted at the glycol ethylene and ethylene oxide facilities for 48 days.

The company's amino and ethoxylate units will also be shut down for about 53 days.
