Khaleeji Commercial stock falls despite growing profits

Mubasher: The stock of Khaleeji Commercial Bank fell during Sunday’s trading session to the lowest level in 14 sessions, after releasing positive financial results.

The stock dropped 4.35% or BHD 0.003 to settle at BHD 0.066 at 11:55 am Bahrain local time, after 1.93 million shares were exchanged through 33 transactions, generating liquidity worth about BHD 127,600.

Khaleeji Commercial on Sunday reported BHD 8.02 million profits in FY15, compared to BHD 3.83 million a year earlier. Profits reached BHD 2.02 million ($5.31 million) in Q4-15, compared to BHD 1.12 million ($2.95 million) in Q4-14.

During the trading session today, the banks sector of Bahrain Bourse fell 1.37%, affected by Khaleeji Commercial as well as AUB.
