Khalifa Fund inks $25m pact to support Niger’s SMEs

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development (KFED) has signed a $25 million (AED 92 million) agreement with the Republic of the Niger to support micro, small-, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in the African country.

The agreement will have a positive impact on the government’s sustainable development and economic diversification to contribute to the economic stability, President of Niger Mahamadou Issoufou commented.

KFED’s chairman, Hussain Jasim Al Nowais, said that the agreement would also pave the way for the creation of a creative and innovative environment in Niger for young people, enabling them to use their skills and talents to improve their lives.

Established in 2007 in Abu Dhabi, KFED is working on instilling a culture of entrepreneurship and supporting SMEs in the UAE and other countries including  Egypt, Chechnya, Jordan, and the Republic of Belarus
