Kima profit drops 59% in 9M

Cairo – Mubasher: The financial indicators of Egyptian Chemical Industries (Kima) has shown a 58.6% year-on-year decline in profits for the nine months ended March 2018, recording EGP 97.3 million from EGP 235 million.

Sales grew to EGP 477.6 million in the first nine-month period of fiscal year 2017/2018, versus EGP 429.7 million in the same period last fiscal year, the company said in a filing to the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) on Monday.

It is worth noting that Kima had previously posted a net profit of EGP 57.6 million in the six-month period ended December 2017, compared to EGP 257.4 million in the corresponding period a year earlier.
