Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Arabia’s King Abdullah Port at King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC) in Rabigh has landed the second spot among the world's fastest growing ports in 2018, according to Alphaliner’s classification.
The port advanced to the second ranking in terms of growth after ranking the eighth in 2017, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
King Abdullah Port moved up to the 83rd place among the world’s 100 largest container ports for 2018, after ranking the 87th in the previous year.
The port has the world’s deepest 18-metre water berths and its container terminals also include the largest cranes in the world, with a 65-tonne lifting capacity and 25-container handling capacity.
