Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on Thursday launched SAR 260 million industrial projects that will be implemented by the Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (MODON) in Tabuk and Al Jawf regions.
The projects are expected to boost the kingdom’s gross domestic product (GDP) in the next period, according to MODON’s statement.
The recent projects bring the total value of investments carried out in Tabuk to as much as SAR 45 million, MODON’s director general Khalid Al Salem said.
Earlier on Thursday, the King laid the foundation stone of Waad Al Shamal project at a value of SAR 85 billion.
The Saudi ruler also inaugurated a number of projects in Al-Jawf region at combined investments of as much as SAR 839 million, in addition to 65 projects at the Northern Borders region a total cost of SAR 10.53 billion ($2.81 billion).
