King Salman unveils near $2bn Hail projects

Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on Thursday unveiled development projects of SAR 7 billion ($1.87 billion) in Hail during his a visit to the north-western region of the kingdom.

Some of these projects have been completed, while others are still underway.

These projects cover different fields including energy and industry, military, housing, education, transport, tourism, and environment, water, and agriculture.

Moreover, the Saudi King laid the foundations for 199 new or planned projects across five government sectors, with a total amount of SAR 4.2 billion.

It is worth noting that King Salman on Wednesday launched more than 600 projects worth SAR 16 billion ($4.3 billion) in investments in Qassim, a central region.

The Saudi king was accompanied by Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, deputy premier and minister of defence.

The Saudi King announcements come as part of a nationwide tour, with many initiatives and projects underway, according to Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

The tour comes as part of the King Salman’s work to check the living conditions of his Saudi citizens and acquaint himself with Saudis needs.
