Mubasher: Kuwait Airways Company (KAC) will sign a new contract with European planemaker Airbus within the coming two weeks to add modern aircraft to its fleet, Yousef Al-Jassim, board chairman of KAC, said.
The new fleet comprises 38 airplanes that will enter service by 2026, Al-Jassim told Al Qabas newspaper.
As a result, the national carrier will get rid of the rented planes.
The Kuwaiti airline did not give further details concerning the agreement's total cost.
It is worth noting that Kuwait Airways flights to the GCC nations have begun taking off from Kuwait International Airport’s new terminal 4 (T4) on Sunday 30, September.
The number of trips recorded between 26 and 34 a day.
Moreover, the carrier should start lunching flights out of T4 to Europe and the US by mid-November.
