Mubasher: Kuwait Airways is set to receive A320neo aircraft in December and three others by 2020, the carrier’s chairman Youssef Al-Jassem stated on Saturday.
The airline will continue to receive Airbus A330 aircraft until 2026, Al-Jassem added, according to the Kuwait News Agency.
With a capacity of 134 passengers, the new planes will be fuel-efficient, the top official said.
In 2013, Kuwait Airways and Airbus signed a contract for the purchase of 25 types of A350 and A320neo and the rent of 12 A330 and A320 planes. The deal was later amended to include 28 aircraft.
