Mubasher: The Central Bank of Kuwait’s (CBK) assets grew to KWD 10.79 billion in December 2018, from KWD 9.57 billion in the same month in 2017, a statement showed.
The value of other assets jumped 44.6% to KWD 213.60 million during the month before, from KWD 147.72 million in November 2018, the statement added.
On the other hand, assets tumbled 4.08% to KWD 10.79 billion by the end of December 2018, from KWD 11.25 billion in November.
The monthly drop in assets to a 4.79% decrease in total value of cash balances, bonds, certificates of deposits, treasury bills (T-bills), and deposits in foreign currencies, reaching KWD 10.54 billion on 31 December, from KWD 11.07 billion in November.
The Kuwaiti body’s gold reserves remained stable at KWD 31.74 billion.
