Kuwait C.bank issues KWD 240m bonds

Mubasher: The Central Bank of Kuwait (CBK) has issued bonds and securities worth KWD 240 million for a duration of six months, according to recent official data.

The bonds will be matured on 3 April 2018, with a return of 1.875%.

The CBK disclosed that these bonds issue was covered 4.03 times, with a demand value of KWD 967.5 million.

It is worth noting that this issue’s return is equal to the previous bonds issue on 26 September, with a total value of KWD 140 million and a maturity of six months.

Kuwait’s finance minister previously noted that the government aims to raise the bonds collection to KWD 20 billion from KWD 10 billion, as well as increasing the maturity period to be 30 years.
