Mubasher: The Central Bank of Kuwait (CBK) on Monday announced that its assets went up 15.6% year-on-year in September.
Total assets amounted to KWD 10.53 billion ($34.81 billion) last month, compared to KWD 9.11 billion ($30.11 billion) in the same month a year earlier, according to CBK’s statement to Mubasher.
On a monthly basis, the central bank’s assets inched down 0.03% in September, versus KWD 10.534 billion in August.
The CBK’s gold reserves recorded KWD 31.74 billion, while foreign-currency cash balances, bonds, and deposits registered KWD 10.34 billion.
On the other hand, the central bank’s other assets reached KWD 156.91 million during September, from KWD 156.91 million in the month before.
The CBK’s general reserves stood at KWD 548.24 million last month.
