Mubasher: The Central Bank of Kuwait (CBK) has issued bonds and securities valued at KWD 240 million ($792.8 million) on Tuesday.
With a return of 2.75%, the three-month bonds will be matured on 15 January 2019, according to the latest data by the bank.
The bonds were covered 9.4 times with a purchasing volume of KWD 2.26 billion.
It is noteworthy that the central bank’s latest issue was on 2 October at a value of KWD 200 million with a return of 2.87%, the highest since 2008.
By issuing these bonds and securities, the government aims to raise the bond collection to KWD 20 billion from KWD 10 billion, as well as increasing the maturity period to be 30 years.
