Mubasher: Kuwait National Cinema achieved a growth of 13.7% in profits during the third quarter of 2017 compared to the same period a year ago.
Earnings increased to KWD 2.91 million ($9.64 million) in Q3-17 compared to KWD 2.56 million ($8.48 million) in Q3-16.
During the nine-month period, Kuwait Cinema reported KWD 8.94 million profits, compared to KWD 7.49 million in the same period last year; a year-on-year gain of 19.4%.
The rise in profits is attributed to lower operations costs by 6%, while activity revenues decreased by 3%.
It is noteworthy that the Boursa Kuwait-listed firm achieved an increase of 22.3% in profits to KWD 6.03 million during the first half of 2017 compared to KWD 4.93 million in the same period a year ago.
