Kuwait – Mubasher: Kuwait Gypsum Manufacturing and Trading's profits surged 2144% in the second quarter of 2016.
The profits reached KWD 45,100 ($149,400) in Q2-16 from KWD 2,010 ($6,660) in the same period of 2015, according to a bourse filing.
The company achieved a 103.4% hike in its six-month period profits to reach KWD 99,240 compared to KWD 48,790 in H1-15.
The rise in profits was attributed to lower administrative and general expenses, the statement said.
