Mubasher: Trade exchange between Kuwait and Italy significantly grew to $1.6 billion in 2018, Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported on Tuesday citing chamber member of Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), Fahed Al Jouaan.
The statement came on the sidelines of a meeting held earlier today with a trade delegation from Rome, and was chaired by Rome’s ambassador to Kuwait, Carlo Baldocci.
Al Jouaan, moreover, highlighted that Italy is one of Kuwait’s largest trade partners and was the eighth in the list of exporters to Kuwait in 2018.
In addition, the Italian ambassador referred that around 20,000 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Italy are operating in different sectors and are looking for investment opportunities.
The two officials further expressed that bilateral cooperation should be taken to greater levels, particularly in the oil and gas sector.
