Kuwait Stock Exchange opens in red zone

Kuwait-Mubasher: The price index of Kuwait’s stock market dropped 0.65% or 33.13 points to settle at 5,051.08 points on Wednesday morning.

By 10:00am Kuwait time, the weighted index also levelled down by 0.63% or 2.14 points to reach 340.16 points and the Kuwait-15 index was down by 0.72% or 5.74 points to settle at 791.35 points.

The bourse’s liquidity reached about KWD 1 million after a million shares were exchanged.

Investors stock was the top winner by adding 5.88%, while Mena Real Estate led the losers as it decreased 10.81%.

AL Dar National Real Estate was the most active stock as 4.42 million shares were traded with a value of about KWD 85,830. The stock retreated 9.76%.

NBK recorded the highest turnover of over KWD 1.2 million as 1.74 million shares were exchanged, however, the stock levelled 1.43% down.
