Kuwait Stock Exchange’s benchmark closes in green

Kuwait-Mubasher: The price index of Kuwait’s stock market levelled up 0.05% or 3.15 points to close at 5,791.89 points on Sunday.

The weighted index retreated 0.33% or 1.3 points to settle at 392.8 points. Likewise, the Kuwait-15 index fell by 0.63% or 5.9 points to reach 933.2 points.

Today’s turnover increased 32% to KWD 10.81 million, trading volume rose 23.7% to 117.03 million shares which were traded through 2,711 transactions.

The best performing sector was consumer services after gaining 0.56%, while the health care sector led the decliners with a 0.88% loss.

The top stock on Sunday was Kuwait Company for Process Plant Construction and Contracting (KCPC) as it grew 10.42%, while Al-Massaleh Real Estate dropped 8.33% to lead the losers.

AL Dar National Real Estate was the most active stock as 28.95 million shares were exchanged through 377 transactions, with value of about KWD 900,800. The stock rose 1.7%.

KFH recorded the highest traded value of KWD 1.58 million, after 69 deals were closed through 2.76 million shares. The stock fell by 1.7%.
