Kuwait announces 3 COVID-19 cases, travel restrictions

Mubasher: Kuwait has announced three new cases with the coronavirus (COVID-19), all linked to travel to Iran, bringing the total number of cases in the Gulf country to 61.

The Kuwaiti cabinet has halted flights with seven countries as a precautionary measurement, namely Bangladesh, Philippines, India, Sri Lanka, Syria, Lebanon, and Egypt.

Furthermore, the Kuwaiti government called upon its citizens to leave the mentioned countries.

Kuwait Airways suspended flights with the seven countries, noting that it awaits instructions regarding evacuating Kuwaiti nationals.

Accordingly, Egypt Air has cancelled all its day flights to Kuwait until further notice.
