Kuwait announces two new cases of COVID-19

Mubasher: Kuwait announced two new cases with the new coronavirus (COVID-19), according to the Ministry of Health.

This brings the total number of cases reported in the Gulf country to 45 confirmed cases.

The two new cases were in contact with those arriving from Iran, the ministry's assistant secretary Buthaina Al Mudhaf said in a press conference.

Kuwait has evacuated 118 passengers from Italy on Thursday, none of which tested positive for the new virus.

In addition, 22 passengers coming from Iran are currently under quarantine.

Al Mudhaf further noted that the ministry is applying all the international standards and the recommendations of the World Health Organization (WHO) in dealing with all cases infected with the coronavirus.
