Kuwait attracts $2.3bn Chinese investments in 2 yrs

Kuwait – Mubasher: The director-general of the Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA) Dr. Meshaal Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah has said that his country has attracted around $2.3 billion in investments from Chinese companies over the past two years, Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported.

Speaking at a series of commerce chamber meetings in Hong Kong, the top official said that Kuwait's small and medium enterprises (SMEs) have a strong opportunity to contribute to such investments as they represent around 95% of Hong Kong's economy.

Meshaal confirmed that importance of focusing on technology and related sectors, which will benefit Kuwait under its current development scheme.
