Mubasher: Kuwait on Sunday announced that a new case has tested positive for the coronavirus (COVID-19) epidemic over the past 24 hours, bringing total number of infections in the country to 62 so far, according to an official statement.
Yesterday, the Kuwaiti government denied the viral news on social media claiming that a Kuwaiti elderly passed away from the new virus in Kuwait.
Last Friday, Kuwait’s cabinet decided to suspend flights to and from seven countries, including Egypt and India, for one week as part of precautionary measures to contain the spread of the deadly virus.
It is noteworthy that the death toll of the novel virus, which originated in China, reached 3,598 worldwide, while cases topped 106,170.
