Kuwait-Mubasher: The Civil Service Commission in Kuwait announced that Thursday, 24 December will be an official holiday for all government and public institutions and authorities, on the occasion of Prophet Muhammad’s birthday.
Kuwaiti institutions will be back to work on Sunday, 27 December.
The commission noted that the private sector will define its vacation system, and consider public interest.
So far, however, the Kuwait Stock Exchange has not announced the holiday for the Prophet’s birthday.
