Mubasher: Health authorities in Kuwait denied the viral news on social media claiming that a Kuwaiti female elderly has passed away from the coronavirus (COVID-19) in Kuwait, Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported.
The health ministry affirmed the incorrectness of the rumour and called upon the public to seek answers regarding the China virus only through accurate and official sources, as the government has been transparent with all related matters since the virus outbreak.
It further warned that those who publish false claims in this respect will be subject to legal actions.
On 7 March, Kuwait’s government decided to suspend flights to and from seven countries for one week as part of precautionary measures to curb the spread of the deadly virus. The countries are Bangladesh, the Philippines, India, Sri Lanka, Syria, Lebanon, and Egypt.
