Kuwait donates $40m to WHO, offers assistance to 3 countries

Mubasher: Kuwait has donated $40 million to the World Health Organisation (WHO) in a bid to support its efforts to curtail the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, which has infected more than 174,000 people across the world, Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported on Tuesday. 

Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Sabah directed financial assistance to Iraq, Palestine, and Iran, in an effort to support them against the pandemic.

Kuwait's foreign affairs minister, Ahmad Nasser Al Sabah, called his Iraqi and Palestinian counterparts earlier today and discussed the latest coronavirus developments and its repercussions regionwide.
