Kuwait gov’t inks $48m infrastructure contract

Mubasher: The public works ministry of Kuwait was awarded a contract that covers the design and construction works for roads, bridges, sewers, and waterways in Kuwait City.

The government minister Hussam Al Roumi has signed the contract at a value of KWD 14.7 million ($48.5 million) to cover a new civic infrastructure network in Kuwait City, the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported.

“The two-year project covers work for the Fifth Ring Road, Al-Ghazali Road, and Muhammad bin Qasim Street. Scope includes building an overpass for the Al-Ghazali Road intersection for the Fifth Ring Road,” Construction Week Online reported according to KUNA.
