Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait rose collectively on Thursday’s trading session, supported by high trading, especially on the Premier Market stocks.
The Premier Market Index inched up 0.6% or 38.42 points to stand at 6,544.28 points. Similarly, the Main Market Index and the Premier Market Index rose by 0.41% and 0.54%, respectively.
Boursa Kuwait witnessed the third most active trading value in the current year amounting to KWD 59.1 million on Thursday, versus KWD 48.68 million the previous day, recording a 21.4% increase.
Moreover, the trading volume increased by 15.1% to 194.52 million shares, versus 168.98 million shares on Wednesday.
Six sectors edged up today, led by the real estate which went up 1.54%. Meanwhile, the oil and gas sector spearheaded three decliners with a fall of 0.38%.
Tamdeen Real Estate topped the winners, as it jumped 17.19%, while United Projects Company for Aviation Services (UPAC) led the losers with 9.93%.
It is worth to mention that Kuwait Finance House (KFH) was the most active stock in terms of liquidity, with a value of KWD 11.41 million, the stock rose 0.95%. Also, while Ahli United Bank-Bahrain (AUB Bahrain) was the most active stock in terms of volume, recording 31.61 million shares, the stock closed 2.18 % up
