Mubasher: The Kuwait Central Statistical Bureau (CSB) on Wednesday announced in a statement that the country’s inflation rate rose 1.26% year-on-year in July.
The general consumer price index (CPI) dropped 0.09% in July versus June, the CSB added.
The CPI rose in nine groups in July, while three groups declined.
The food and beverages group rose 0.28%, while the transportation group increased by more than 15%.
Year-on-year inflation decreased in the housing group and the communication group by 2.26% and 1.09%, respectively.
The CPI compares the change in a country’s price levels across different sectors on a monthly or a yearly basis.
