Kuwait – Mubasher: The consumer price index (CPI) of Kuwait recorded an increase of 3.51% in December 2016 as compared to the same month in 2015, according to the latest data issued by Kuwait Central Statistical Bureau.
The inflation of Kuwait rose by 0.98% to 144.4 basis points in December when compared to November 2016.
According to the report, food and beverages, which formed more than 18% of the prices basket, increased by 0.7% in December from a year ago.
Meanwhile, the housing basket, which accounts for 29% of the consumers’ expenses, leaped by 6.44% in December.
