Kuwait-Mubasher: Kuwait has signed on Monday a construction contract for the new terminal in Kuwait International Airport.
The Kuwaiti minister of public works Ali Al-Omair has signed, in a press conference, a deal worth KWD 1.3 billion with Turkey’s Limak Construction and its agent Al Kharafi National.
The terminal will be built in six years to have accommodated 25 million passengers per year, with an availability of expansion to reach 50 million.
Furthermore, a small runway extension worth KWD 60 million will be built in a year and a half to accommodate 10 million passengers annually.
The first stage of the project will have a capacity of 13 million travelers per year, with a target to reach 25 million annually, according to the website of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation.
