Kuwait launches evacuation flights to Istanbul, Qatar Tuesday

Mubasher: Kuwait's Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has launched two charter flights to Istanbul and Doha from the Kuwait International Airport on Tuesday to evacuate stranded Turkish and Qatari residents, according to an official statement.  

The flights are part of the evacuation plan to facilitate the return of residents willing to leave Kuwait amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) widespread.

Moreover, the flights have been operated by Turkish Airlines and Qatar Airways.

It is noteworthy that the total number of COVID-19 cases in Kuwait grew to 1,355 over the past 24 hours.
