Kuwait – Mubasher: Kuwait is expected to report a deficit ranging from KWD 5 billion to KWD 6 billion in the budget of the current fiscal year 2017/18, according to a recent report issued by Al Shall Consulting.
The estimates of this deficit will be determined based on the average price of oil during the coming 10 months.
The report noted that Kuwait’s projected budget revenues would score KWD 14.3 billion for the current fiscal year, compared with KWD 19.9 billion for expenditures allocations.
“Kuwait's oil revenues would score about KWD 12.7 billion for the entire current fiscal year, which is KWD 1 billion higher than the estimated value of oil revenues for the budget at KWD 11.7 billion,” Al Shall added.
