Kuwait not officially invited for oil output-freeze meeting – Minister

By Ahmed Awad

Kuwait – Mubasher: Kuwait's Acting Oil Minister Anas Al-Saleh said on Monday he heard via media about an invitation for a meeting next April for oil producers from OPEC and outside the cartel to freeze output.

However, no official invitation has been sent to Kuwait, he noted.

Al-Saleh told reporters that his country is willing to coordinate with OPEC and non-cartel producers.

Iran is a major player inside OPEC and there should be eventually an inclusive agreement, the minister said, stressing that it would be difficult to have some companies freezing output while others don't follow suit.
