Mubasher: The price of Kuwaiti crude oil went down on Thursday by 28 cents, according to the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC).
KPC said on Friday that Kuwaiti oil registered $54.26 per barrel (pb) on Thursday compared to $54.54 pb on the day before, as reported by the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).
Oil prices also declined in global markets despite the continuous tension in northern Iraq, and the commitment by major producers to cut oil production to control supplies, KUNA noted.
The price for Brent decreased by 49 cents to stand at $57.41 pb, while the US light crude oil slipped 58 cents and settled at $51.56 pb.
